Swedish photo duo Marco Grizelj and Kristian Krän formed their cooperative trademark Aorta in 1996. Since then, the duo has excelled in a diverse range of photographic genres and have recently started to dabble in moving images and gifs. Their signature work is “semi-documentary fashion photography” drawing the viewer into their highly staged and fantastical worlds. They use their unique style and lighting in combination with a strong conceptual vision to create surreal and unique imagery. The duo thinks cinematic and their photographs are often shot on location – They enjoy entering the idea process at an early stage and they like doing their own retouching.

Their talents have brought them numerous international awards and led them to work internationally with a long list of notable brands such such as Toyota, Harvey Nichols, IKEA, Volvo, Absolut Vodka, Lidl, Burger King, Tuborg and Schwarzkopf.

“Our favorite toys growing up were, pistols, knives, bows. All kinds of primitive weapons really. The 80's was a bit crazy sometimes but we are peaceful now.“

As live action and animation director Chris and art director Tim, they love making films that truly stand out. As multidisciplinary storytellers they combine a playful range of styles from bold kick-ass street punk to rich multi layered cinematic projects. They have created striking campaigns, commercials and music videos including brands Nike, Sony, Audi and Warner Bros and mostly recently for Noel Gallagher.

If I had an elephant and I would have to deal with it, I would paint his toe nails and hide him in a cherry tree or on second thought put him in our next music video.

Multi-talented director Felix Umarov, is known for creating fantastical music videos and commercials described as fast paced, adrenaline-driven and provocative. Directing commercials he likes to experiment with different techniques and formats — his bold camera work and his multi-layer editing style are part of his trademark signature. Recently, Felix has developed a talent for creating gorgeous looking gifs for his campaigns. Felix is a young director who started his career in Russia and currently resides in Berlin.

Despite his age, his craft has already been appreciated by many international clients such as Spotify, Reebok, Adidas, Vogue On his home page you will also find the short film Eden, which continues to collect very good reviews at international festivals.

Top international film studios turn to Ilya Cherepitsa for his ability to convey energy through his work, and for his daring visual methods. Ilya’s works are the voice of millennials: vibrant, powerful, edgy and rebellious. He mixes different visual technique and develops new ideas to make each film look unique. Clients include L’Oréal, Kia, H&M, Adidas.

Izabella Mazzag knows how to express herself in various mediums such as directing and editing. Driven by realism, she wants to portray real people, share their stories and trigger true emotion. In her work, she also combines intimate personal cinematography together with experimental, almost surrealistic elements. Resulting in films that are very much in a league of their own. Izabella is a former professional dancer who just graduated from the Film school in Budapest, Hungary. As the daughter of a painter she likes to highlight details and create unusual pictures. Considering herself as ‘a director collective within one person’, she’s currently funnelling a lot of her past experience into her directing work.

Izabella Mazzag is our youngest creative who is eager to tell stories and work with top-notch brands and creatives. So far her clients include Telekom, Fresh Corner, Sanus.

Joost Van Deijzen is a young Dutch filmmaker and visual artist, always seeking to challenge the boundaries between fiction and documentary by creating atmospheric, moody pieces in both a raw and unpolished style. Equally driven by character-driven storytelling, Joost’s work explores concepts of diversity of people and cultures, told through his multi-layered authentic driven narratives.

His commercial clients include Vogue Netherlands, Zalando, The New Originals, Rocycle.

Kim Gabbi is a  Swiss – German director who started making films during her BA in Fashion Communication which gives her work an intrinsic eye for detail. Her background is reflected in her visual style, with each shot meticulously crafted and designed to tell a story. After her BA she worked in a production company in Berlin before she started her MA in Directing Fiction at ZHdK in 2021, where she is currently working on her diploma film.

My Fondest Memory Of High School? Sneaking out of class to buy 1€ Schnitzelbrötchen at the Kiosk, which was weirdly located in the basement

Jumping between New York and Warsaw, a cosmopolitan who escapes classification. Marysia graduated from the renowned Warsaw Academy of Fine Arts, after which she began her journey around the world. She began her advertisement career as an art director and creative director at agencies in her home town of Warsaw, in New York and Cape Town. Her first steps that would really define Marysia as a filmmaker were a diverse set of projects, ranging from commercial work for the likes of Estée Lauder, Kate Spade NY, L’Oreal, Sally Hansen to short films and music videos for Broadway musicals. She gives each project a unique personality told through her multi-layered dramatic narratives. She is certainly a force to be reckoned with — on both sides of the Atlantic.

“I love getting rid of things. It is a very freeing feeling when I say goodbye to objects. My home is a bit like an empty art gallery, there isn't much in it at all.”

Vincenz Neuhaus is a young, muliti-talented animation director and character designer from Berlin whose signature style is outrageously and consistently fun. His playful, hand drawn, graphic CGI style combines with his unique sense of character design to craft genuinely funny and wonderfully weird films. He is known for infusing 3d animation with classic cartoon style in his storytelling. Vincenz already showcases a broad range of work for Nickelodeon, Volkswagen, MTV, Volksbank Raiffeisenbank and music videos for the likes of Dendemann, Marteria, Sido, Die Orsons, Romano, Lazy Lizzard Gang. His work has earned him various prizes including Telly Award, ADC, Eyes & Ears Awards, International Davey Award, ADC Nachwuchswettbewerb.

Youth Hymns are known for their off the wall style and super-saturated, pop-surrealist world. Jake, Johnny and Jolyon’s unique talent reaches from music videos, commercials, album covers, live music movie events and much more. Youth Hymns’ arresting visual style lends itself to everything from up-and-coming indie artists to collaborations with the Department for Transport, Nike and Snoop Dogg. Outside of film collaborations, Jolyon Thomas is a prominent record producer for the likes of Slaves, Royal Blood, M83 and even U2 – and is now performing in the band Larry Pink The Human.

If we were in a room filled with our doppelganger and two million dollars, we would form a boy band called “Doppel Effect”, go on a two million dollar loss making tour, high five then go our separate ways.
