boom creative studio stands for bold, visual expression that is very much its own. We collaborate with an award-winning network of directors, AI artists, photographers and artists we call creatives.

Together we create commercial campaigns and branded content for all formats. We offer strategy, concept development, right through to execution – working directly with brands as well as partnering with agencies.

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

From concept to final cut, a typical production takes 6 to 12 weeks. We start with 2 to 4 weeks of pre-production - developing the storyboard, casting, location scouting etc. - followed by the shoot itself, usually just 1 to 3 days. Post-production then takes another 2 to 3 weeks, covering editing, color grading and also the whole audio production. Need it faster? Rush timelines are possible for social content and smaller productions - just get in touch and we'll find a schedule that works for your deadline!

At boom creative studio the production budgets start at CHF 20'000.- for focused social content. TV spots and full campaign productions typically range from CHF 50'000.- to CHF 150'000.-, depending on scope, shoot days, cast, locations, and post-production needs.
We work transparently with agency producers and brand managers to find the right scope for your budget without compromising on visual quality or creative ambition.

Matching the right director to your brief is one of our core strengths and honestly, one of our favorite parts of the process. Our roster spans more than 20 directors across live action, hybrid and AI production, each bringing a distinct visual language and area of expertise. Share your brief with us, and we'll propose two to three directors whose style and experience align with your brand - most clients find their match within 48 hours.

Yes sure! And this is where we add the most value beyond execution. We work with brands and agencies from early concept through final delivery, taking rough briefs or existing ideas and developing them into fully-realized campaign concepts - complete with moodboards, a director's treatment before a single frame is shot. Creative development isn't an add-on for us, it's part of our standard process.

Absolutely! While our studio is based in Zürich, we produce across Europe. Our director roster is international with talent based in Zürich, Berlin, London, Cape Town, Warsaw and beyond. We coordinate international shoots end-to-end - from local crew, locations, casting to the needed permits. And for Swiss brands needing production in specific markets, we draw on established partner networks across the EU and further afield.

Both. Around 80% of our productions come through advertising agencies - we act as a trusted production partner for creative and media agencies across Switzerland. We also work directly with brand marketing teams, particularly on social content, employer branding and AI productions. Whether you're an agency producer or an in-house marketing manager, we adapt to your workflow and team structure.

AI film production blends traditional filmmaking with AI-generated visuals, characters, environments and effects. At boom, our dedicated AI-Creatives roster - one of the first in Switzerland - specializes in AI commercials, AI social campaigns, product visualizations and hybrid productions that merge live action with generative AI.

Yes, but in the right context. AI production can significantly reduce costs for certain content types - product visualizations, concept previsualization, social content variants and campaigns requiring many visual iterations. It's not a blanket cost-cutter for every production type, though. During our briefing process, we assess where AI adds genuine value versus where traditional production delivers better results.

Hybrid film production blends live-action footage with AI-generated or CGI elements within a single production. A product shot on location might be placed into an AI-generated environment or a live-action character might interact with AI-created visuals. boom creative studio specializes in hybrid productions that feel seamless and cinematic, never like AI content bolted onto real footage. It's the fastest-growing production format for Swiss brands in 2025 and 2026.

Typically, the agency delivers a creative brief and script to us. We then propose directors, develop a production plan, manage the full shoot and deliver final files in the agreed formats. Throughout the process, the agency and our selected director remain the creative lead. For agencies working with us regularly, we integrate directly into their project management and approval workflows.
